Transitional Living Coach Positions
Almost Home seeks mature individuals for Transitional Living Coach positions for our young teenage mothers and their children.
General Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Transitional Living Coach Manager, the Transitional Living Coach will perform duties affecting all aspects of the Almost Home Transitional Living Program. The program focuses on coaching and fostering life skills in our 15 single teen mothers (members) while providing a safe haven and promoting the general wellbeing of these mothers and up to 25 children. The Transitional Living Coach ensures the full implementation of program provisions, member compliance and attainment of program goals.
Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or GED. Prefer Bachelor’s degree in areas of Early Childhood Development, Education, and/or Social Work. -Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record; must obtain a Chauffer’s License within 60 days of hire. -Flexibility to work a rotation schedule that can include, days, evenings, overnights and weekends. -Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Cook
Almost Home seeks mature individual for part time cook position.
General Summary:
This position will plan, prepare, cook and serve nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules for 15 teenage girls and up to 25 of their children in transitional housing. Responsible for ensuring all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner; cleans kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances; maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner. Position is also responsible for the pre-cooking of meals for the week-end and preparation of meals for special events.
Qualifications:
-High School diploma or GED. Associates degree preferred. -Safe-Serv certification -Minimum two years experience working in residential setting. -Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and good driving record. -Chauffer’s license. -Flexible to work rotating schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends. -Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
