Volunteer
Volunteers help Almost Home mothers, children and staff in many ways. Almost Home provides long-term transitional housing and support services to homeless teenage mothers and their children. With a capacity for 15 mothers and 25 children, Almost Home provides the environment, education and counseling needed to help these young families create a stable and nurturing home life. With your help, Almost Home can “Make a Difference …One Family at a Time!”
Ways to Volunteer:
-
On your own or with a friend, we have a need for childcare on weekday evenings, while our teenage mothers attend life skills classes (4 – 6 volunteers, for about an hour).
-
Bring a group and we can accomplish a task, such as preparing a mailing, yard work, painting, or other big projects.
-
Special occasions, activities and holidays add a variety of opportunities to aid in social activities for these young families – craft projects, field trips and special events.
